Engineering Instructor
Introduced and piloted Project Lead the Way, a national curriculum in engineering, at High Tech High.

Introduced and piloted EPICS High, a community based engineering design and development program, at High Tech High.
Launched a FIRST Robotics Team which has grown to national recognition.
Dedicated to tying student work to real world applications and getting more woman involved in engineering.

Co-Founded this Limited Liability Corporation which has grown into a highly productive business.
Manage projects and work crews through streamline operations.
Fabricate heavy mining equipment, custom machined components and decorative metal work.

 

1998–1999                      American Seafoods Company            Seattle, WA
1st Assistant Engineer  F/T Ocean Rover (285 ft.)   F/T Northern Hawk (345 ft.)
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of engineering equipment.
Supervised work crews to maintain flawless operation of the vessel.
Operations that resulted in 0 lost hours of fishing.

 

1999–2000                  Alaska Trawl Fisheries, Inc                     Seattle, WA
1st Assistant Engineer F/T Endurance (265 ft.)
Headed up plant maintenance and upgrades.
In charge of all mechanical and electrical systems on board for 12 hours everyday with zero down time.
Delivered ship to owners in Korea with a skeleton crew.
